外国人学习中文时常对一些类似于说曹操曹操到，或是鸡同鸭讲这样的词语感到莫名其妙，不知道曹操为什么跑那么快，不知道鸡和鸭子都说了些什么??

　　其实在英文中也有很多这样的短语和表达，跟着小编一起看看吧!

　　1.My way or the highway.

　　我的路，还是高速公路?(什么鬼…)

　　然!而!并!不!是 !

　　应该是：要么听我的，要么就消失!

　　2.Come on，cut it out!

　　去，把它剪掉?(嗯，一定是这样!)

　　然!而!并!不!是 !

　　应该是：别闹了;省省吧;够了。

　　3.You said we were through.

　　你说过，我们已经通过了?(貌似没有什么问题啊…)

　　然!而!并!不!是 !

　　应该是：你说我们玩完了!

　　美剧当中，一段感情结束时，还可以说 We are so over; We are history;I am so over you;You are history”

　　反正就是各种过去了…

　　把城镇涂成红色?(这个肯定是了…)

　　应该是： 尽情享受。(也是啊，把整个城镇涂成红色是够任性的了)

　　赶鸭子上架?(窃喜，宝宝语文学多棒!)

　　应该是：让某人生气，头疼。

　　把鼻子擦干净?

　　应该是：远离是非，少惹麻烦。

　　刚刚释放的犯人们总是尽量的少惹是非。

　　7.To play cat and mouse

　　玩猫和老鼠?(还是老鹰抓小鸡…)

　　应该是：欲擒故纵。

　　The police have played cat and mouse with the murderer。

　　警察采用欲擒故众的方式抓捕这个谋杀犯。

　　8.To have irons in the fire

　　趁热打铁?(宝宝语文是越来越好了…)

　　应该是：同时有许多的事情要完成，忙的不可开交。

　　Don’t bother him because he has many irons in the fire。

　　别打扰他， 他事情太多，忙的很!

　　9.To let off steam

　　放出蒸汽?(这回总该对了吧…)

　　然!而!并!不!是 !

　　应该是：发泄，出气。

　　My wife needs to let off some steam after looking after the kids all day.

　　我的太太在照看了一天孩子们之后，需要发泄。
